MTB Outlaws Privacy Policy

MTB Outlaws is part of MTB Outlaws Ltd. Which includes MTB Outlaws Ladies. This privacy policy will explain how we use personal data we collect from our riders as part of the membership registration process.

What data do we collect?

  • Personal identification information (name, phone number, email address, home address, next of kin and next of kin contact details).
  • We also ask that members identify they are an adult by having riders confirm using a tick box as part of the online form.

How to we collect your data?

All data held by MTB Outlaws is volunteered or submitted by members or customers when you:

  • Register with the club or
  • Place an order for a product or service
  • Browse our website

MTB Outlaws website (MTBOutlaws.org.uk) tracks user behaviour which includes how you navigate through the website and stores the location of your IP address (the physical location by country or region of your device).

How will we use your data?

MTB Outlaws only collects data for the following purposes:

  • The safety and security of our riders
  • To enhance rider experience
  • To process and complete orders
  • Keep our members informed of new developments including discounts and promotions

Data Sharing

MTB Outlaws does not share your data with any third parties with exception to:

  • PayPal (some data like your address is required as part of the process)
  • Royal Mail (our platform has integrated postage which means we submit your name and address to create a label for printing.

Marketing

MTB Outlaws will occasionally send information and or promotional material to our registered members and customers that we think you might like (bike related content) plus some content from our partner companies. If you agree to be contacted by the MTB Outlaws team, you can always ‘opt out’ at a later date.

Data storage

Your personal data and emergency contact data is held in two places:

  1. On our secure computer in the offices of MTB Outlaws.
  2. Behind a password protected gateway on our website.

Your name, address, phone number, next of kin and next of kin contact phone number is only accessible to MTB Outlaws Ride Leaders and will only be accessed and used in the event of an emergency or a post-ride follow-up. A post-ride follow-up is typically a phone call to ensure you are safe and well, or for new riders, to collect any feedback.

What are you data protection rights?

MTB Outlaws would like to make you aware of your rights under UK law. Every user/member/customer is entitled to:

The right to access – you have the right to request MTB Outlaws for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee to complete this action (to cover printing – as required).

The right to rectification – you have the right to request that MTB Outlaws correct any information that you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to complete any data that is incomplete.

The right to erasure – you have the right to request that MTB Outlaws erase all your personal data under certain conditions (we need to retain certain transactional data as a legal requirement).

The right to restrict processing – you have the right to MTB Outlaws restrict the processing of your personal data under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – you have the right to request MTB Outlaws transfer your personal information to another organisation or directly to you, under certain conditions.
