Mountain biking is fun, exciting and good for the soul. However if precautions are not taken, it can be dangerous. We prize above all else the the safety and well-being of our riders and the wider community. To ensure our safety and the safety of others we have some simple rules and expectations… First and foremost, to participate in our rides, we require that you wear appropriate attire including personal protective equipment. A helmet is the minimum requirement.
Each ride is designed to satisfy a certain style or type of riding, consequently some rides are longer, more strenuous or more technical than others. Always read the ride description thoroughly before registering for a ride or attending. If you have any concerns about the ride or your ability, please contact the Ride Leader before the ride. MTB Outlaws organise dedicated refresher, training and skills development courses for all levels. Click here to find out more.
We also expect that you maintain your equipment and carry appropriate tools and maintenance equipment. Communicate with the Ride Leader before setting off to make sure you have suitable attire and equipment for the terrain. For night rides, you must have appropriate working lights and power supply.
All our riders, even the Ride Leaders are volunteers and everyone is personally responsible for their own health and safety. We encourage you to take out your own mountain biking insurance. For advice and introduction to approved suppliers, contact MTB Outlaws. Please read the full disclaimer and liability information below.
